I'm back with a simple duo. One of my goals this year is to use up some of my stash that I've had sitting around for years. It's so hard because after a while the papers just don't "talk" to you like they used to. I've decided that making cards for Operation Write Home (OWH) is just the thing I need to get me using these supplies. And, as a military wife, it's a cause that hits close to home.
This week the OWH Blog is asking us to make cards for our Heroes to send home to their kids. I used some DCWV Card in a Stack papers that I had and cut them down to size to make the A2 sized cards. Add some ribbon, cut a scalloped circle and cupcake with my Cricut and viola! Cute little cards that could be used for a variety of ages. My only regret is that I didn't make more of them! I will have to be mindful of that on my next ones.
Thank you for looking! And if you have the urge to craft, but no particular occasion coming up, would ya think about joining Operation Write Home and their cause? Thanks!

Your cards are so cute and inspire me to get busy today on my own!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful use of some of those papers that seem to lie around unused! You inspire me to start digging through my stash of papers and see what can be used for great OWH cards! I'm new to making cards for OWH, but have set a goal at one per day for the year and I'm ahead of the game so far. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, your cards are wonderful and I think OWH is a great way to use up some of our "unloved" stash of papers and goodies. It's so appreciated too! Thanks for playing in our challenge at Operation Write Home!
